My Sugie

A few years ago, I nannied for two little girls two summers in a row.  The first summer, the family had also hired an au pair to help with the older one so that I could concentrate my energy on the prematurely-born five-month-old.  This au pair from South Africa became one of my very best friends.  The entire summer, we spent hours of the day working together and extra hours after that at my house, eating dinner with my family, taking walks in my neighborhood, and talking in my room (mostly about the kids we watched).    After that summer, I went off to school and, a few months later, she moved to Florida to work for another family.  Soon, she was gone.  She moved back home and then to London, where she has been ever since. 

Her name is Sugen.  And she is one of the most interesting and fun-to-know people I’ve ever met.  I still think about her constantly and we keep in touch.  I have thought about her more as the idea of a wedding is becoming more and more real in my life.  Weddings make you think about the people who are close to you and who have been there for you.  Sugen was one of those very important people in my life and I would love nothing more than to spend my wedding day and the days before it with her and the rest of my close friends. 

Sorry about the cheesy blog, but Sugen has been on my mind and…well, speaking my mind is exactly what I created this blog for.  Sugendrie Muthen, you are so special!

  My sweetiepie!…Josh is not the only one reading this now lol. Im so happy for you. Congratulations on your engagement babygirl. Im more happy that we’re finally in touch again. Means the world to me. Really. I love you so much. We’ll will talk more about the wedding soon. I cant wait. Love love love s
